Janeil Owen – Executive Director

Janeil OwenJaneil Owen has been with Northwest Haiti Christian Mission since he was a child, serving in nearly every area of ministry, particularly NWHCM’s main orphanage.  He became Executive Director of the mission in 2007.

He received a B.A. in biblical studies from Cincinnati Christian University and is married to Heather Owen.  They have four children: Payton, Josiah, Ruby and Zebadiah.  They split their time between their homes in St. Louis du Nord, Haiti, and Versailles, Kentucky.

Sam Guilliams – Executive Vice President

guilliamssam0409webSam Guilliams joined Northwest Haiti Christian Mission as Executive Vice President in 2008 after serving since 2005 on the mission’s board of directors.  He first visited Haiti in 1989 and went on to complete a six-month internship with NWHCM.  He returned to Haiti for a year in 2003 with his wife, Samantha, to work in NWHCM schools and preach.

Sam earned a B.S. in education from Indiana State University, and worked for years as a Christian Church minister in Indiana before joining NWHCM.  He and Samantha live with their daughter, Abby, in Georgetown, Kentucky.  They travel frequently to Haiti.

Wisly Jean Baptiste – Assistant Executive Director

Wisley Jean BaptisteFor years, Wisly Jean Baptiste served as a mission driver and director of Northwest Haiti Christian Mission’s main orphanage before becoming Field Director in 2008.  He coordinates the daily operations of mission staff and equipment in Haiti.

Originally from Gonaives, Haiti, Wisly studied agriculture before becoming a high school math teacher in Gonaives.  He served as assistant director of a mission near Gonaives before eventually coming to work for Northwest Haiti Christian Mission.

Wisly and his wife, Christine, have two sons, Dave and Marvins.  They live in Saint-Louis du Nord, Haiti.

Magdala Remy – Campus Manager, Saint-Louis du Nord

Magdala RemyMagdala Petion Remy came from Port-au-Prince in 1994 to serve as nurse at Northwest Haiti Christian Mission.  Prior to that, she worked for years in the clinic and pharmacy at Christianville Mission, a non-denominational ministry in southern Haiti.

Today, Magdala oversees staff and facilities at NWHCM’s main campus in Saint-Louis du Nord.  In particular, she manages the large group of nursing staff at the mission’s clinic and birthing center.  She is also active in evangelism initiatives and the music ministry at Saint-Louis du Nord’s Citadel Church.

Magdala lives in Saint-Louis du Nord with her husband, Alix, who works as the principal at NWHCM’s primary school there.  The couple has six children, three of whom are adopted.
