Welcome to the New NWHCM.org!

Whether this is your first time to our website or you just want to stop and gather your bearings, we’re here to help. We at NWHCM built this website with you in mind — it’s all about keeping you informed, helping you make better giving choices, and offering you ways to stay involved as part of the Northwest Haiti Christian Mission community.

Please take a minute to scroll through this mini-orientation and FAQ section. We believe it’s a great place to get you on your feet and headed toward what you’re looking for on our site.

The Navbar
First things first: Everything starts with the navbar at the very top of the web page. You can get just about anywhere you need to go by clicking around there. Here’s a look at where all the buttons lead:

As a reminder, you can always return to the homepage by clicking on the mission’s name in the upper-left of the web page next to the logo, anytime.

Sponsorship and Giving
We’re especially excited about the new options we’ve built for online giving and online sponsorship. By clicking on the Give button at the top of the page, donors can make donations to specific NWHCM ministries and missionaries. You’ll be asked to register as a new user and create an NWHCM account.  Once you’ve done that, you can manage your giving, see your giving history, print receipts, and more!

If you currently sponsor a child or adult in one of NWHCM’s programs, creating an account will allow you to stay informed about your sponsored person and access information like their most recent photo.

If you don’t yet sponsor someone in NWHCM’s programs, there are always available children and adults waiting for someone to help them in the name of Christ.  You can click the Sponsor link at the top of the page to search for someone you feel led to sponsor.

Your Donor Account
Once you’ve created your donor account and signed in, you’ll see the My Account panel on the left of your screen. Use the chart here as a reference for where you need to go to manage giving, contact information, sponsorships, recurring gifts, and more.

Going on an NWHCM Missions Trip?
The Get Involved button at the top of the page is your one-stop shop for everything you’ll need. You’ll find trip applications, payment options, and more. It’s also the place to keep in touch with friends or loved ones currently visiting Northwest Haiti on a short-term trip. As time goes by, we’ll be adding increasing layers of information here to make short-term trips even better ministry opportunities.  We want you to be as prepared as possible.

Looking for Some Good Resources About Haiti?
We know how difficult it can be to find good information about Haiti, so we’ve put together the About Haiti section as a central place where everyone can go to have their questions answered and be better informed. New resources will be added here on a regular basis, so you might want to check back in every so often.

News and Blogs Sections
On the left-hand side of every page is the green “Recent News” section. This is where NWHCM broadcasts all the latest mission happenings, so you’ll know as soon as we do!  Of course, NWHCM will continue mailing our our regular newsletters with even more stories from the field.

For a more personal insight into mission happening and recent events, you can check out the orange “Recent Blogs” section on the right-hand side of every page.  That’s where you’ll find posts from our missionaries and staff about NWHCM ministries, trips, powerful stories, and family updates.  Just click on a post in that column to read more.

Website FAQs

Where are the travel photos?
Click Get Involved at the top of the screen and follow the links to the travel photos.

How can I make trip payments?
Click on the Give button at the top of the page, then on the Trip Payments link on the left-hand side of the page. If you are applying for a trip, you will be given the option to make a deposit online after submitting your application.

Can I still use Paypal or my old NWHCM donor account (CashLINQ)?
Unfortunately, no. After September, CashLINQ and PayPal accounts will no longer work with NWHCM.org.  You will have to go to the Give section at the top of the homepage and register as a new user.

Any existing EFT transactions or recurring gifts set up through CashLINQ will also have to be reestablished on your new NWHCM account. Our staff are more than glad to help you set up an account and new EFTs, credit card gifts and recurring donations. If you need assistance or have questions, please contact us between 9am and 5pm Eastern Time, Monday through Friday.

I registered as a new user, but my giving history is not there. What happened?
If you have an extensive giving history and just created a new account at NWHCM.org, please allow up to five business days for your giving history to be posted.

I registered as a new user. How long will it take to see information on my sponsored child/adult?
If you have an existing sponsorship and just created a new account at NWHCM.org, please allow at least two weeks for your sponsored person’s profile to appear in your account.  We’ll get much faster at this, but for now we are responding to requests in the order we receive them.

What is a “Pledge?”
Pledge is another word for your commitment to sponsor someone in an NWHCM ministry. It simply means you’ve pledged to provide for that person. You can find information about all your pledges (sponsorships) in your NWHCM.org account, on the Give page (see example at left).

Where are the missionary blogs?
Everywhere! Blog posts you see throughout the website are pulled directly from our missionaries’ blogs. Clicking on one of those posts will take you directly to that missionary’s blog.  You can also access personal blogs from the Our Staff page.  Please note: Staff and missionary blogs are not part of NWHCM.org, and NWHCM is not responsible for content outside this website.

Where can I find back issues of the newsletter?
We will be posting back issue soon in the “Resources” page under the “About Us” section.
