Northwest Haiti Christian Mission believes that all good things are a gift from God (James 1:17).  As such, we seek to establish the Church as the center of all our work.

We envision a future with churches sharing Christ’s love and empowering Haitians in every major community in Northwest Haiti.  We intend that all our community development, relief work, education, evangelism and discipleship efforts flow through local churches, because we believe that is God’s design for his people.

When NWHCM enters a community to work there, we begin by establishing a Christian church presence if there is not one already.  The church may be a large formal congregation, or a simple house church.

To date, we have planted or are supporting more than 25 churches in Northwest Haiti and are adding more each year.

Pastoral Training
Through our Bible college in Saint-Louis du Nord and our network of ministers and educators, we train gifted national pastors to lead our churches.  Established in 2006, our Bible college meets the educational needs of Haitian pastors who may not qualify for or be able to afford enrollment in other colleges.

From the beginning, our vision has always been to plant and grow muscular congregations that will eventually be self-sustaining.  We believe in equipping local churches to be instruments of change in their own communities, reaching their neighbors and discipling them in Christ.

How You Can Help

Northwest Haiti Christian Mission’s church development efforts, evangelism and discipleship, and Bible training programs are funded through the donations of people like you.  Your gifts allow us to spread the gospel, distribute Creole-language Bibles, provide for pastors, and bring hope in Jesus’ name.
