A Marathon for Haiti

Run4LifeIndy Partners With NWHCM for Haiti Relief

January 22, 2010

Indianapolis — In partnership with Northwest Haiti Christian Mission, Run4LifeIndy has set a goal to raise a minimum of $13,100 within 100 days prior to the 13.1 mile One America 500 Festival Mini-Marathon. All funds raised will go directly toward relief work in Haiti.

Fundraising will begin Saturday January 23 and will continue through Saturday May 8. All contributions will be donated to Northwest Haiti Christian Mission, a relief and development organization that operates on the northern coast of Haiti.

The Run4LifeIndy Mini-Marathon Haiti Relief Campaign will include sponsored t-shirts which will be available for a minimum $20 donation. Run4LifeIndy has also partnered with Scotty’s Brewhouse to host a Pre-Mini Pasta Dinner at the downtown Indianapolis location on May 7 at 6:00 pm. Scotty’s has offered to donate a percentage of the proceeds from this event to the cause and will also be accepting donations at the host stations of their north-side and downtown locations throughout the campaign.

Run4LifeIndy was founded as a fund raising campaign to benefit the less fortunate. Co-founders Brooke Randolph and Suzanne Zaleski are participating in this year’s One America 500 Festival Mini-Marathon on May 8 and wanted to create a way to combine this effort with obtaining charitable contributions. Run4LifeIndy connects fitness with opportunities for  charitable fundraising in pursuit of well being for all people.
