Detailed Needs List – NWHCM Lab and Pharmacy

To donate specific items, please contact NWHCM in advance to let us know what you’re giving and to make sure it can be transported to Northwest Haiti. Prescription drugs and controlled substances may require additional paperwork to transport into Haiti. For specific questions, please contact Maureen Moore at maureen.moore@nwhcm.org.

Laboratory Donation Needs

  • Test tubes (10×75 mm and 12×75 mm)
  • Anti-A, Anti-B, Anti-D
  • Typhoid H Antigen
  • Typhoid O Antigen
  • Non-heparinized capillary tubes
  • Plain Hematocrit tubes
  • Heparinized Hematocrit tubes
  • Heparinized capillary tubes
  • Microscope slides
  • Gram stain
  • Giemsa Stain
  • Urine dip sticks
  • Cover slips (22×22 mm)
  • EDTA (mauve stoppered) vacutainer tubes
  • Plain (red stoppered) vacutainer tubes
  • 20 or 21 guage vacutainer needles
  • Containers for collecting fecal samples (yogurt cups with lids, washed please)
  • Pregnancy tests
  • Blood glucose test strips
  • Urine test strips
  • Cotton balls
  • Alcohol swabs
  • Cotton tipped applicator sticks
  • Permanent markers

  • 4×4 gauze
  • Gloves (medium and large)

Lab/Pharmacy Current Needs

NWHCM's lab and pharmacy is always in need of certain supplies. Supplies can be donated to NWHCM directly or brought in on a short-term missions trip.
