Kate and Bobbi are Occupational Therapists building wheelcars for kids out of foam and wood to adapt strollers into wheelchairs! Billy Bob's newly adapted stroller will allow him to sit upright and in a therapeutic position, helping his posture and allowing him to function better

Heaven’s Waiting Room opened in 2001 and is our residential facility for children with special needs.

They have a variety of physical and mental challenges such as cerebral palsy, autism, vision and hearing problems, seizure disorders, etc. These are very special children who have often been pushed aside in Haiti as parents have not had the knowledge or resources to best provide for their needs.

The children in this program receive 24 hours a day care, medical care, physical therapy and meals. The facility is staffed by Haitian women who provide for the daily needs of the children. Physical therapy is provided by Haitian staff who have been trained by American therapists who have spent time in Haiti and worked with the children.

Heaven’s Waiting Room is currently home to 13 children, ranging in age from preschoolers to teenagers. We are at capacity for the space we have, but will soon start an expansion project so that we will be able to provide for more of these special little ones.

• Soap
• Shampoo
• Vaseline
• Children’s clothing (new or gently worn in all sizes)
